About Our Team
The Maryland Club Gymnastics Team is established for the expressed purpose of extending the opportunity of competitive gymnastics to all who are interested and to provide a positive gymnastics experience for all participants.
We welcome members of all levels and abilities and have members from beginner to advanced all the way to level 10. We compete in 2-3 meets per semester around the mid-Atlantic area in addition to attending NAIGC Nationals every April.

General Information
- As of September of 2017, we are a CO-ED CLUB! Anyone and everyone is welcome to join, and use both the Women's and Men's Artistic Gymnastics equipment!
- Practices are run in "open gym" style, except for the first half hour, which is group stretch. The last half hour is optional team conditioning run by our coach. Members are welcome to come and go as they please, go to any event of their choosing, and practice any skill they want to (within skill range).
- We have a coach who provides assistance by spotting, suggesting drills, giving corrections, and conditioning.
- We welcome members of ALL SKILL LEVELS, and no prior experience is required!

Competitions
- Competitions are not mandatory but they are really fun!
- The team pays for the hotel and meet expenses (this is why fundraising is so important!)
- The team usually travels to 4-6 competitions per year at schools such as Virginia Tech, James Madison University, and Salisbury University, along with our annual home meet and Nationals!
- Nationals is the big meet of the year, held in April, where we compete against other club gymnastics teams from across the nation. In order to attend Nationals, you must attend the majority of practices and participate in fundraising. Please see the "fundraising" page for more information.
- We compete using Level 9 Rules and Requirements set forth by USA Gymnastics, although not everyone competes at this level.
Club Under Armour Apparel
- Each semester, our Vice President coordinates Under Armour orders with "Maryland Club Gymnastics" written on it
- In the past we have ordered sweatshirts, leggings, sweatpants, T-shirts, tank tops, etc.
- As a Maryland Club Team we are offered up to 50% our Apparel from Under Armour
Community Service
- Each semester, we make it our goal to give back to the community in ways such as making cards for children in the hospital, or soldiers abroad, or holding a canned food drive at our annual home meet.
- We usually pair this community service with fun team bonding activities, such as a team taco dinner, or an ice cream party!
